TREC mediated oncogenesis in human immature T lymphoid malignancies preferentially involves ZFP36L2

open access: yesMolecular Cancer, 2023
The reintegration of excised signal joints resulting from human V(D)J recombination was described as a potent source of genomic instability in human lymphoid cancers.

Atypical lymphoid leukemia in ataxia telangiectasia [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 1978
We observed two sisters with ataxia telangiectasia, one of whom developed an atypical subacute lymphocytic leukemia characterized by atypical lymphocytes and absence of palpable lymphadenopathy or hepatosplenomegaly. The lack of organomegaly in this patient may have been due to the underlying ataxia telangiectasia, which was associated with lymphoid ...

Tumor‐Intrinsic ARHGEF3 Enhances Antitumor Immunity by Promoting T‐Cell Infiltration and Limiting Myeloid Cell‐Mediated Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARHGEF3 is broadly downregulated across human cancers and correlates with patient prognosis. Tumor‐intrinsic ARHGEF3 activates the RHOA–ROCK–PTEN cascade to inhibit AKT signaling, thereby promoting chemokine‐driven T‐cell infiltration and relieving lipid‐mediated myeloid immunosuppression.

A high number of losses in 13q14 chromosome band is associated with a worse outcome and biological differences in patients with B-cell chronic lymphoid leukemia

open access: yesHaematologica, 2009
Background Among patients with B-cell chronic lymphoid leukemia, those with 13q14 deletion have a favorable outcome. However, whether the percentage of cells with 13q- influences the prognosis or the biological characteristics of this disease is unknown.

Spontaneous Non‐Catalyzed Molecular Reactions and Interactions in the Human Body: Biomedical Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The human body functions as a natural reactor for a vast network of chemical and biological reactions and physical interactions among small molecules, proteins, cells, and numerous other components. These reactions/interactions are essential for maintaining normal physiological functions.

Integrative genomic analysis of adult mixed phenotype acute leukemia delineates lineage associated molecular subtypes

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL) is a rare leukemia that presents both myeloid and lymphoid markers on blasts. Here the authors perform genomic analysis to show MPAL involves genetic and epigenetic heterogeneity and is genetically distinct from AML,

Tumor‐Induced Splenic Remodeling: Mechanisms of Systemic Immunosuppression and Emerging Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the transformative impact of cancer immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint blockade, durable clinical responses remain limited. Increasing evidence indicates that antitumor immunity is governed not only by the tumor microenvironment, but also by systemic immune regulation mediated by peripheral immune organs. Among these, the spleen

Causal association between endocrine diseases and lymphoid malignancies explored through two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis

open access: yesScientific Reports
Endocrine diseases are suspected contributors to lymphoid malignancies, but their precise association is unclear. This study aimed to investigate the causal relationship between various endocrine diseases—specifically type 2 diabetes, obesity, diabetic ...

Reprogramming Antitumor Immunity: NK Cell Strategies to Navigate the Immunosuppressive Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tumor immune escape is a major barrier to durable cancer immunotherapy, as advanced malignancies create a tumor microenvironment (TME) that preferentially exhausts and disables T cell responses. While most approved cell therapies are T cell‐based, this limitation motivates the exploration of an alternative effector cell platform.
