Diagnostic efficacy of the leukogram and the chemiluminometric ACTH measurement to diagnose canine hypoadrenocorticism

Tierarztliche Praxis Ausgabe K: Kleintiere - Heimtiere, 2014
Summary Background and objective: The gold standard in the diagnosis of canine hypoadrenocorticism (HA) is the adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) response test. As synthetic ACTH (tetracosactide [Synacthen®]) is currently not available in the European Union, the evaluation of other diagnostic tests seemed warranted.

They also maintain intestinal microflora balance, thereby preventing colic in horses. Furthermore, probiotic use eliminates the risk of using prohibited drugs in sports, unlike herbal dietary supplements.

SIGNIFICANCE OF LEUKOGRAM VALUES FOR CYTOGENETIC ANALYSIS OF BLOOD IN MYELOFIBROSIS

2017
Myelofibrosis is a rare almost incurable disease with lesions of blood-forming stem cells. Cytogenetic abnormalities are independent prognostic markers of unfavorable disease course in myelofibrosis. The method of cytogenetic analysis of the peripheral blood with specific stimulator - granulocyte colony-stimulating factor is used to avoid the need of ...
