Electromagnetic emissions: IC-level versus system-level
2004 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37559), 2004The electromagnetic emission (EME) of integrated circuits (ICs) is very often the reason why an electronic system in which these ICs are implemented does not meet the regulatory limits and performance compatibility with other electronic devices. Even though, in the meantime, unified measurement methods at the IC-level are proposed in two standards, a ...

Predicting IC Defect Level Using Diagnosis
2014 IEEE 23rd Asian Test Symposium, 2014Predicting defect level (DL) using fault coverage is an extremely difficult task but if can be accomplished ensures high quality while controlling test cost. Because IC testing now involves generating and combining tests from multiple fault models, it is important to understand how the coverage from each fault model relates to the overall DL.

Defect level estimation for digital ICs
Proceedings 1992 IEEE International Workshop on Defect and Fault Tolerance in VLSI Systems, 2003Defect level (DL) projections are very important in determining test quality and, thus, the market competitiveness of an integrated circuit (IC) product. However, at present, there is no way of accurately predicting DL in the IC design environment, since no accurate fault models are used.

A Numerical Scheme to Investigate Ice Fracture in Level Ice-Ship Interaction
Volume 6: Polar and Arctic Sciences and Technology, 2022Abstract Ice load is a major threat to the structural safety of polar ships. Accurate prediction of ice loads is inseparable from the good presentation of sea ice fractures by using numerical methods. However, sea ice fracture is a typical discontinuity problem and has been a thorny issue.

Experiences with system level design for consumer ICs
Proceedings IEEE Computer Society Workshop on VLSI'98 System Level Design (Cat. No.98EX158), 2002The continuing trend towards higher integration densities of ICs makes systems-on-a-chip possible. For well defined application domains "silicon platforms" must be defined which combine efficient implementations with programmability. Platforms are heterogeneous reconfigurable multiprocessor architectures supporting a variety of communication and ...

Defect level evaluation in an IC design environment
IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1996The purpose of this paper is to present a methodology for the evaluation of the Defect Level in an IC design environment. The methodology is based on the extension of Williams-Brown formula to nonequiprobable faults, which are collected from the IC layout, using the information on a typical IC process line defect statistics.

Basic EMC Concepts at IC Level
2009Basic EMC definitions, specifications and susceptibility measurements are briefly summarized in this chapter. The link between electromagnetism and EMC at circuit level is shortly established and described. This description is far from complete; however, it summarizes the core ideas hidden behind practical standardized measurement setups.

A Semi-Empirical Method of Ice Resistance Prediction in Level Ice
SNAME 11th International Conference and Exhibition on Performance of Ships and Structures in Ice, 2014We introduce a semi-empirical model that can determine a ship’s performance in level ice based on Lindqvist’s model and develop a simple model for calculating ice resistance. This model assumes that contact between the ship and the ice is a case of symmetrical collision, and two contact cases are considered.

Calculation of maximum ice jam levels
Hydrotechnical Construction, 1972To successfully counter ice jams, it is necessary to make accurate predictions of the maximum ice jam levels and the length of the ice jam.
