Level subgroups and union of fuzzy subgroups

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1990
The paper gives a construction of a fuzzy group generated by a fuzzy set. It is also proved that any fuzzy group with at least two different positive membership values can be represented as a union of two noncomparable fuzzy groups. Some properties of fuzzy groups are characterized by suitable ones of level subgroups.

Postdexamethasone Cortisol Levels and Subgroups of Affective Illness

Archives of General Psychiatry, 1985
To the Editor.— In their recent article on the use of biological markers in the assessment of patients with endogenous depression, Feinberg and Carroll 1 found that unipolar depressed patients with endogenous depression had higher mean postdexamethasone cortisol values than their bipolar counterparts.

Intuitionistic Level Subgroups in the Dihedral Group D3

Creative Mathematics and Informatics, 2022
A well known result in fuzzy group theory states that “level subgroups of any fuzzy subgroup of a finite group form a chain”. We check the validity of this statement in the intuitionistic fuzzy perspective. We do this using Dihedral Group $D_3$, which is a non-cyclic group.

CD14+ monocyte levels in subgroups of acute coronary syndromes

Coronary Artery Disease, 2007
We aimed to investigate whether there were any differences in the percentages of CD14(+) monocytes between subgroups of acute coronary syndromes (ACS). CD14(+) is a monocyte surface receptor that plays a role in the innate immune system. CD14(+) monocytes are associated with complications of atherosclerosis. In total we enrolled 115 patients with ACS ...

Classification method using fuzzy level set subgrouping

Expert Systems with Applications, 2008
We present a new classification system which is based on fuzzy level sets subgrouping. This new classification system allows a fast classification method with quite accurate results. Classification runs were carried out with four different data sets. All four data sets were related to medical diagnostics.

M − N ANTI HOMOMORPHISM OF AN M − N FUZZY SOFT SUBGROUPS AND ITS LEVEL M − N SUBGROUPS

South East Asian J. of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2022
In this paper, we have discussed the concept of M N anti homomor- phism of fuzzy soft subgroups, then we define the M  N anti level subsets of a fuzzy soft subgroup and its some elementary properties are also discussed.

Adjusted significance levels for subgroup analyses in clinical trials

Contemporary Clinical Trials, 2010
Subgroup analyses in clinical trials are becoming increasingly important. In cancer research more and more targeted therapies are explored and probably only a portion of the whole population will benefit from them. Subgroups of interest can be analyzed in several ways, but a correction of the type I error probability is needed in order to appropriately
