Bi2O2Se/Ta2NiSe5 Tunneling Heterojunction for High‐Performance, Polarization‐Sensitive, and Broadband Infrared Photodetector

Advanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An optimal dynamic balance between carrier lifetime and transit time is achieved in the Bi2O2Se/Ta2NiSe5 tunneling heterojunction, which simultaneously attains high responsivity (>103 A W−1) and a fast response time (≈5 µs). The specific detectivity can reach 3.75 × 1013 Jones at 633 nm and 1.8 × 1010 Jones at 1550 nm. Abstract New technologies such as

Hybrid Plasmonic Nanorods/VO2 Photodetectors Sensitive to Short‐Wave Infrared Photons with Fast Response

Advanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Together with the low external DC bias required (0.5V) and the fast response speed (trise down to 14 ms), the present hybrid plasmonic‐VO2 thin film photodetectors suggest a viable approach toward the development of effective photodetection in the SWIR spectrum.
