High‐throughput single‐cell DNA methylation and chromatin accessibility co‐profiling with SpliCOOL‐seq

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
SpliCOOL‐seq achieves high‐throughput single‐cell co‐profiling of DNA methylation and chromatin accessibility. DNMT inhibitors caused cancer cell demethylation with divergent patterns. SpliCOOL‐seq enables the discovery of genes related to LUAD tumorigenesis. Ageing and LUAD tumorigenesis may share similar epigenetic alterations.

Graphonological Levenshtein Edit Distance: Application for Automated Cognate Identification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents a methodology for calculating a modified Levenshtein edit distance between character strings, and applies it to the task of automated cognate identification from non-parallel (comparable) corpora.

Energy bounds for codes and designs in Hamming spaces

open access: yes, 2016
We obtain universal bounds on the energy of codes and for designs in Hamming spaces. Our bounds hold for a large class of potential functions, allow unified treatment, and can be viewed as a generalization of the Levenshtein bounds for maximal codes ...

Analyzing and Experimenting Open Source OCR Engines in RPA with Levenshtein Distance Algorithm

open access: yes, 2021
Robotic Process Automation is a platform used to automate boring and repetitive computer processes using software bots so that humans could involve in tasks which include creativity and decision making which could not be done by robots. Optical Character

A note on Levenshtein distance versus human analysis [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Linguistica Universitatis Iagellonicae Cracoviensis, 2011
This paper argues that automatic phonetic comparison will only return true results if the languages in question have similar and comparably lenient phonologies. In the situation where their phonologies are incompatible and / or restrictive, linguistic knowledge of both of them is necessary to obtain results matching human perception. Whilst the case is

An investigation of the price discovery role of futures markets: A dynamic time warping analysis of the United States corn markets

open access: yesAgribusiness, Volume 42, Issue 1, Page 196-212, Winter 2026.
Abstract Futures markets are critical to price discovery and often dominate spot markets. We analyze the linkages between daily corn futures and spot prices in the United States using dynamic time warping. This nonparametric pattern recognition technique has several advantages over traditional time series methods.

Comparison of partial orders clustering techniques

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2018
In this paper, we compare three approaches of clustering partial ordered subsets of a set of items. First approach was k-medoids clustering algorithm with distance function based on Levenshtein distance.

Large Language Model‐Embedded Intelligent Robotic Scrub Nurse with Multimodal Input for Enhancing Surgeon–Robot Interaction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
A large language model (LLM)‐powered multimodal robotic scrub nurse control framework is proposed for enhancing human–robot interaction. Inside, the vision module gives out instrument class, location, and occlusion relationship. Speech module captures and converts user's speech commands.

AMRerank: A Framework for Library Migration Recommendations Using Multi‐Agent Analysis and Data‐Driven Reranking

open access: yesIET Software, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Open‐source libraries are indispensable for modern software development but can create substantial maintenance burdens when they become deprecated or unmaintained. Selecting an appropriate replacement among many candidates remains challenging, since methods relying only on historical mining or similarity metrics often miss subtle differences in meaning.

Finding a boundary between valid and invalid regions of the input space

open access: yes, 2018
In the context of robustness testing, the boundary between the valid and invalid regions of the input space can be an interesting source of erroneous inputs. Knowing where a specific software under test (SUT) has a boundary is essential for validation in
