Clustering Using Levy Flight Cuckoo Search [PDF]
In this paper, a comparative study is carried using three nature-inspired algorithms namely Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Cuckoo Search (CS) on clustering problem. Cuckoo search is used with levy flight. The heavy-tail property of levy flight is exploited here.

Among Markovian processes, the hallmark of Lévy flights is superdiffusion, or faster-than-Brownian dynamics. Here we show that Lévy laws, as well as Gaussian distributions, can also be the limit distributions of processes with long-range memory that exhibit very slow diffusion, logarithmic in time.
