Lewis Number Effects on Turbulent Premixed Flame Structure [PDF]
ABSTRACT The influence of the Lewis number on turbulent flame front geometry is investigated in a premixed turbulent stagnation point flame. A laser tomography technique is used to obtain the flame shape, a fractal analysis of the multiscale flame edges is performed and the distribution of local flame front curvature is determined. Lean H2/Air and C3H8/

Effect of the Reynolds and Lewis number to the fuel droplet vaporization
In this work we present the effect of Reynolds and Lewis numbers on the fuel droplet vaporization of n-heptane. This study allows us to fully understand the vaporization phenomenon of fine fuel droplets (spray) in energy systems in order to improve combustion efficiency, reduce the formation of pollutants and unburned materials such as CO and NOx.

Fuel Lewis number effects in unsteady Burke-Schumann hydrogen flames
Flame response (as determined by temperature and flame thickness) to unsteady hydrodynamics has been measured in acoustically pulsed Burke-Schumann hydrogen flames at two different oscillation frequencies and amplitudes.

Antitumor effect of lysine-isopeptides
Isopeptides (ε-peptides) of lysine, with a given Mw and low polydispersity (10–400 units), were synthesized to study the relationship between their chemical structure and biological effect.

Lewis number effects on lean premixed combustion characteristics of multi-component fuel blends [PDF]
Variation in natural gas composition, alongside the potential for H2 enrichment, creates the potential for significant changes to premixed flame behaviour.

Combustion mechanism of propane-air swirling premixed flame near lean flammability limit
This study investigated a premixed propane-air flame in a partially tapered swirl burner. Experimentally, we found that a flame resembling a morning glory flower formed at an equivalence ratio near the lean flammability limit.
