Modelling Lexical Decision: Who needs a lexicon?
The problem of modelling lexical decision in connectionist models is discussed. It is shown how lexical decision can be performed by a simple neural network with no explicit lexicon and no recurrent connections.

Comparative performance of 7 risk prediction indices in patients hospitalized for heart failure. In this cohort of 1206 patients, the LENT index offered the greatest discrimination, calibration, and overall accuracy in predicting 30‐day composite all‐cause mortality or readmission following hospitalization for heart failure.

Abstract Aims The VICTORIA trial demonstrated a significant reduction in the primary composite outcome of heart failure (HF) hospitalization or cardiovascular death with vericiguat relative to placebo in high‐risk HF. This study aimed to contextualize treatment effects of vericiguat in populations with varying risk profiles simulated from the PARADIGM ...

The EU's Strategy for Sustainability: A Landmark Turn With the European Green Deal?
ABSTRACT While the European Green Deal (EGD) has been widely recognized as a milestone in the EU's sustainability strategy, scholars disagree on the nature of the policy change it represents. Critics highlight its limited social and environmental ambitions, despite its portrayal as a “man on the moon” moment.

Picture naming: Stereoelectroencephalography and connectivity insights
Abstract Objective This study investigates the neural substrates of picture naming (PN) using stereoelectroencephalographic (SEEG) stimulations and evaluates the contribution of white matter (WM) fascicles related to the basal temporal language area (BTLA) to the broader functional PN network.

Word-Context Effects in Word Naming and Lexical Decision
Stanovich and West (1983; West and Stanovich, 1982) demonstrated that lexical decisions to target words preceded by incongruous sentence contexts are inhibited more by these contexts than are naming responses to the same target words.
