CTP Ontology: A Semantic Model for Structuring Cultural Thematic Paths
Abstract A thematic path enhances the appreciation of cultural heritage by connecting diverse cultural objects through shared themes. This study introduces the Cultural Thematic Path (CTP) Ontology, designed to support the creation, organization, description, publication, and management of thematic paths within the GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives,

Parser lexicalisation through self-learning
We describe a new self-learning framework for parser lexicalisation that requires only a plain-text corpus of in-domain text. The method first creates augmented versions of dependency graphs by applying a series of modifications designed to directly capture higherorder lexical path dependencies.

ABSTRACT There is a critical need to understand the early vocabulary of young children with autism who have limited language, defined in this study as producing fewer than 20 different spontaneous and functional spoken or augmented words, to better inform educational targets and vocabulary selection for spoken as well as augmentative and alternative ...

Natural Language Generation enhances human decision-making with uncertain information
Decision-making is often dependent on uncertain data, e.g. data associated with confidence scores or probabilities. We present a comparison of different information presentations for uncertain data and, for the first time, measure their effects on human ...

ABSTRACT A recent “hierarchical” reinterpretation of the neurological basis of autism suggests that in autism with early language delay, perceptual processing may be favored over the integration of transmodal information. This model is largely based on neuroimaging findings relating to visual processing, but predicts a corresponding reorganization in ...

Automatic acquisition of Spanish LFG resources from the Cast3LB treebank [PDF]
In this paper, we describe the automatic annotation of the Cast3LB Treebank with LFG f-structures for the subsequent extraction of Spanish probabilistic grammar and lexical resources. We adapt the approach and methodology of Cahill et al.

Three generative, lexicalised models for statistical parsing [PDF]
In this paper we first propose a new statistical parsing model, which is a generative model of lexicalised context-free grammar. We then extend the model to include a probabilistic treatment of both subcategorisation and wh-movement. Results on Wall Street Journal text show that the parser performs at 88.1/87.5% constituent precision/recall, an average
