Three generative, lexicalised models for statistical parsing [PDF]
Proceedings of the eighth conference on European chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics -, 1997 In this paper we first propose a new statistical parsing model, which is a generative model of lexicalised context-free grammar. We then extend the model to include a probabilistic treatment of both subcategorisation and wh-movement. The lexicalisation of a Middle English binominal
, 2020 This study investigates the origin and diffusion of a binominal construction nith and onde ‘spite and hate’ in Middle English, by using A Linguistic Atlas of Early Middle English as the main source. It argues that nith and onde is also used as a lexicalised unit to refer to ‘the deadly sin of envy’.
