Bait trapping of waterfowl increases the environmental contamination of avian influenza virus (AIV)
The Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 89, Issue 3, April 2025.Metrics of avian influenza virus (AIV) occurrence and diversity derived from fecal and sediment sampling at quasi‐experimentally baited and un‐baited sites provided evidence that wetland baiting of waterfowl increases AIV contamination in the environment.
