Molecular Appendix Adjusted Architectural Propagations of Red‐Light Controlled Macroscopic Photoactuating Performances

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Amphiphilic chloroazobenzenes, bearing different amino acids as end groups alanine, phenylalanine, and valine, exhibit excellent photoisomerizations. Varying structures of three amino acid groups participate in supramolecular formations and therefore photoinduced morphological transformations via adjusting intermolecular interactions. These interaction

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Explicit Contexts in LF (Revised)

open access: yes, 2009
The standard methodology for representing deductive systems in LF identifies the object's language's context with the LF context. Consequently, any variable dealt with explicitly by any judgement or metatheorem must be last in the context.

A Multidirectional Textile Interface for Remote Control Using Dynamic Area‐Based Capacitance Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Here, we present a textile, wearable capacitive interface enabling multidirectional remote control by dynamically modulating electrode overlap and spacing via a freely gliding upper electrode. A forearm‐mounted prototype drives robotic and media tasks with 12–15 ms latency, maintains < 0.8% drift after 500 cycles, and remains stably functional at 90 ...

Periodontal Diseases in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesČeská Stomatologie a Praktické Zubní Lékařství, 2008
Periodontal diseases are the most common chronic conditions affecting the human race. Recently, increased attention has been given to these diseases because they were found to be related not only to oral health but also to many systemic diseases such as ...

LF-15 & T7, synthetic peptides derived from tumstatin, attenuate aspects of airway remodelling in a murine model of chronic OVA-induced allergic airway disease

open access: yes
Background: Tumstatin is a segment of the collagen-IV protein that is markedly reduced in the airways of asthmatics. Tumstatin can play an important role in the development of airway remodelling associated with asthma due to its antiangiogenic properties.

Wireless Precise Manipulation of Tumor Spheroids Using a Millirobot Controlled by Permanent Magnetic Traps

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A magnetic donut‐like millirobot is developed for label‐free pick‐and‐place of a tumor spheroid wirelessly controlled by a magnetic trap. Spheroids are important 3D multicellular culture systems that recapitulate key structural and functional features of native tissues.
