Performance Enhancement of Tin Chloride‐Incorporated Ferroelectric Polymer‐Based Artificial Synapse for Hardware Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a highly efficient ferroelectric artificial synapse device based on an oxide semiconductor and SnCl2‐inserted P(VDF‐TrFE) gate dielectric layer. This FeFET significantly improved the synaptic performance due to the ion‐dipole interaction.

Targeted Intraoral Electroacupuncture for Refractory Trigeminal Neuralgia: A Case Report and Mechanistic Insight based on the Gate Control Theory of Pain

open access: yesJournal of Acupuncture Research
Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is characterized as a debilitating neuropathic pain disorder that may become refractory to pharmacological and interventional therapies. However, conventional acupuncture may not adequately address its neural basis.

A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

Divergent effects of the antiestrogen tamoxifen and of estrogens on luteinzing hormone (lh) pulse frequency, but not on basal lh levels and lh pulse amplitude in men [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
We studied the role of estrogens on LH pulse modulation in men in two ways. Firstly, we compared LH pulse frequency and amplitude in 13 normal men before and after 6 weeks administration of the antiestrogen tamoxifen (10 mg twice daily).

Longitudinal Study: Swine Inflammation and Necrosis Syndrome in Suckling and Weaned Piglets Is Associated with Tail Length and Integrity in Slaughter Pigs

open access: yesAnimals
Swine Inflammation and Necrosis Syndrome (SINS) is a highly prevalent, predominantly endogenous condition that compromises tissue integrity and animal welfare across different life stages in pigs. Increasing evidence suggests that early-life SINS lesions

Impact of Disorder on Microscopic Superconducting and Normal‐State Responses in a Kagome Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Using depth‐resolved, field‐ and pressure‐dependent μSR$\umu{\rm SR}$ measurements, we show that disorder in Ta‐doped KV3Sb5 drives a crossover from nodal to nodeless superconductivity while strongly modifying the normal‐state magnetic response. Our results reveal that disorder affects superconductivity and magnetism in fundamentally different ways ...

Writing a History of Women's Writing from 700 to 1500 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
How can a history of British women’s writing be written? Such a project must necessarily be collaborative if it is to attempt to be comprehensive, but even then any claim to comprehensiveness has to be qualified: paradoxically the more expansive the ...
