Temporal relationship of the prolactin‐dependent LH‐induced LH receptor to the LH stimulus
Journal of Cellular Physiology, 1988AbstractThe time course for LH induction of luteinizing hormone (LH) receptors as reflected in binding of 125l‐labeled hCG was investigated in hypophysecto‐mized adult male rats. A low dose of oLH (10 μg) was administered to hypophysectomized adult male rats following pretreatments with prolactin, follicle‐stimulating hormone (FSH), growth hormone (GH),

In this article the role of LH receptor gene mutations in patients with aberrant sex differentiation is discussed. In a dominant autosomal familial form of precocious puberty in boys (familial male-limited precocious puberty) LH receptor gene mutations have been identified.

Evaluation of LH*LH for a Multicomputer Architecture
1999Scalable, distributed data structures can provide fast access to large volumes of data. In this paper, we present a simulation study in which the performance behaviour of one of these data structures, called LH*LH, is evaluated for a multicomputer architecture.

On the LH Response to Oestrogen and LH-RH in Transsexual Men
Experimental and Clinical Endocrinology & Diabetes, 2009In male rats, androgen deficiency during a critical period of sexual brain differentiation was shown to give rise to a predominantly female-differentiated brain. Such animals displayed "homosexual behaviour", i.e., they were sexually attracted preferentially to partners of the same sex.

LH* generalizes Linear Hashing to parallel or distributed RAM and disk files. An LH* file can be created from objects provided by any number of distributed and autonomous clients. It can grow gracefully, one bucket at a time, to virtually any number of servers. The number of messages per insertion is one in general, and three in the worst case.

Controlling interrelationships of progesterone/LH and estradiol/LH in mares
Animal Reproduction Science, 2006The interrelationships of progesterone, estradiol, and LH were studied in mares (n=9), beginning at the first ovulation (Day 0) of an interovulatory interval. An increase in mean progesterone concentrations began on Day 0 and reached maximum on Day 6, with luteolysis beginning on Day 14.

In VivoInhibition of LH Release by a Synthetic Antagonist of LH-Releasing Hormone (LH-RH)*
Endocrinology, 1974The anti-LH-releasing hormone (LHRH) activity of des-His2-desGly10-LH-RH ethylamide (antagonist I), an analogue of LH-RH, was studied in several animal systems. An iv infusion of antagonist 1 for 2 hr significantly inhibited LH release in response to the administration of LH-RH in ovariectomized, estrogen and progesterone treated (OEP) rats and intact ...

Abstract Synthetic LH-RH was found to stimulate production of LH by human female adenohypophysis in monolayer culture. This effect occurs at 0.30 μg/2 ml LH-RH. New messenger-RNA synthesis does not have to occur to stimulate the production of LH by the action of synthetic LH-RH in cultures of under 4 days.

Clinical Comparison of Natural LH-RH, Synthetic LH-RH, and Two Analogues of LH-RH
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1974ABSTRACT Two analogues of LH-RH as well as pure, natural LH-RH were compared with synthetic LH-RH in normal men. The 9-ethylamide LH-RH caused increments in plasma levels of LH and FSH comparable to those caused by synthetic LH-RH given at double the dose level.

The Mistaken Identities of LHS 2067 and LHS 2068
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1995LHS 2067 and LHS 2068 are listed in the Luyten Half Second Catalog as a common proper motion pair. CCD astrometry of these objects, as identified in the LHS Atlas, indicated negligible proper motion. These two stars are misidentified in the Atlas, and we show that two other stars in the same field are the actual common proper motion pair.
