Abstract Background Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by predominantly neuronal α‐synuclein pathology and dopaminergic dysfunction. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) seeding amplification assays (SAA) detect α‐synuclein aggregates in vivo, but not all patients with PD have a positive SAA.

Change in liana density over 30 years in a Bornean rain forest supports the escape hypothesis
Liana dynamics may influence tree dynamics and vice versa. Only long‐term studies can perhaps disentangle them. In two permanent plots of lowland dipterocarp forest at Danum, a liana census in 1988 was repeated in 2018.

Plant and insect functional traits influence herbivore performance under climate change
Climate change is expected to disrupt many trophic interactions, including those between insect herbivores and their host plants, which could have detrimental effects at the ecosystem level. However, the response of insect herbivory to climate change can vary widely across species, and an understanding of the mechanisms underlying this variation is ...

Sparse halves in dense triangle-free graphs [PDF]
Erd\H{o}s conjectured that every triangle-free graph $G$ on $n$ vertices contains a set of $\lfloor n/2 \rfloor$ vertices that spans at most $n^2 /50$ edges.

Abstract Dystrophinopathies are caused by pathogenic variants in the DMD gene, resulting in partial (Becker) or complete loss (Duchenne) of dystrophin. Becker (BMD) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) are characterized by progressive muscle wasting, fatty replacement, fibrosis, and loss of function.
