Mapping and Functional Characterization of Homologous Genes AhSUCA06 and AhSUCA16 Underlying Sucrose, Oil and Protein Contents in Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is an important oilseed and cash crop, and seed sucrose content (SSC), seed oil content (SOC) and seed protein content (SPC) are key determinants of seed flavour, texture, and overall quality. Identifying quantitative trait loci (QTLs) and candidate genes associated with SSC, SOC and SPC is therefore of ...

A Novel AP2/ERF Transcription Factor Controls Trichome Initiation and Fruit Development in Cucumber

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Trichomes, the hair‐like outgrowths of the plant epidermis, are critical for defence, reproduction and development. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms governing their initiation remain elusive. Here, we identified CsGL2, an AP2/ERF transcription factor, as a key integrator controlling trichome initiation and fruit development in ...

Consumers' Environmental Awareness and Firms' Managerial Delegation Contracts Under Emission Tax Policies

open access: yesScottish Journal of Political Economy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study considers consumers' environmental awareness of polluting firms' managerial delegation contracts and compares the effects of committed and time‐consistent emission tax policies. It reveals that when environmental performance (EP) incentives prevail, sales performance (SP) incentives depend on the emission tax type and competition ...

Unveiling isoleucyl‐tRNA synthetase 2 as a novel driver of breast cancer via β‐catenin pathway activation

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 3, September 2026.
Isoleucyl‐tRNA synthetase 2 (IARS2) stabilizes β‐catenin by reducing its phosphorylation at Ser33/37/Thr41 and ubiquitin‐proteasome degradation, thereby promoting β‐catenin nuclear accumulation and transcriptional activation of downstream targets, including inhibitor of DNA binding 3, lactate dehydrogenase A, and Drosha ribonuclease III.

Ejaculatory Dysfunction and Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatments (MIST) for Male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Secondary to Benign Prostatic Enlargement

open access: yesTrends in Urology &Men's Health, Volume 17, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT While transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is considered the standard surgical treatment in symptomatic benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), it is not without surgical morbidities and has adverse impact on various sexual function domains such as ejaculatory dysfunction (EjD) and erectile
