The Liberal Triennium was the first Spanish parliamentary period. In this legislative framework, and throughout the debates of the different laws that the prolific action of the deputies carried out, 83 books of national authorship and ano-ther 13 of foreign writers arrive at the hemicycle as donations.

This article aims to frame Neapoltan general Guglielmo Pepe’s presence in Spain and Portugal after the deep revolutionary wave in Southern Europe in 1820–1. It was a conjunction, which was influenced by a positive perception towards soldiers and military elements, marked by the memory of Napoleonic Wars.

The Liberal Triennium in the Philippines (1820-1823)

The early decades of the nineteenth century saw deep transformations which changed Spanish domination of the Philippines. This paper studies the Liberal Triennium, during which the Constitution of Cádiz was implemented, triggering the numerous social and political conflicts analysed in this work.
