‘Tepehuán‐RS’ a new drought tolerant, high grain yield in low plant densities and slow darkening pinto bean cultivar

open access: yesJournal of Plant Registrations, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/April 2025.
Abstract ‘Tepehuán‐RS’ (Reg. no. CV‐365, PI 706601), tested as line P‐SALTILLO×TA‐245‐1‐2‐4, is a new drought‐tolerant and slow darkening pinto bean cultivar (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Tepehuán‐RS showed high grain yield in low plant densities. It was jointly developed by INIFAP, Postgraduate College and Autonomous University of Chihuahua, released by ...

Unsymmetrical Schiff Bases Efficient Ligands for the Synthesis of Organotin (IV) Complexes and 1,5‐Benzodiazepines with Anxiolytic Properties, Molecular Docking Studies

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 2, January 15, 2025.
A series of organotin(IV) complexes is synthesized using a Schiff base ligand derived from dehydroacetic acid, salicylaldehydes, and 1,2‐phenylenediamine. The reaction also forms 1,5‐benzodiazepines, which show anxiolytic effects in mice at 1 mg/Kg. Docking studies reveal interactions with the GABA‐A receptor.

End-to-end simulations of photonic phase correctors for adaptive optics systems [PDF]

open access: yes
Optical beams and starlight distorted by atmospheric turbulence can be corrected with adaptive optics systems to enable efficient coupling into single-mode fibers. Deformable mirrors, used to flatten the wavefront in astronomical telescopes, are costly, sensitive, and complex mechanical components that require careful calibration to enable high-quality
