Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Targeted protein degradation in oncology: novel therapeutic opportunity for solid tumours?

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Current anticancer therapies are limited by the occurrence of resistance and undruggability of most proteins. Targeted protein degraders are novel, promising agents that trigger the selective degradation of previously undruggable proteins through the recruitment of the ubiquitin–proteasome machinery. Their mechanism of action raises exciting challenges,

Classification Methods in Context at Theological Libraries: A Case Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This case study explores issues of interoperability and shared collection management between two libraries – one community and one academic – located within the American Jewish University (AJU).

An extensive library of 2500-10500 Ang synthetic spectra

open access: yes, 2005
We present a complete library of synthetic spectra based on Kurucz's codes that covers the 2500-10500 Ang wavelength range at resolving powers 20,000, 11,500 (GAIA), 8500 (RAVE), 2000 (SLOAN) and uniform dispersions of 1 and 10 Ang/pix.

Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular

The Once and Future Library

open access: yesIssues in Science and Technology Librarianship, 1996
In Fall 1995, a World Wide Web (WWW) virtual library was established to investigate the applicability of using a conventional library classification scheme as an organizational framework for enhancing identification, access and use of Internet resources

State-dependent changes of connectivity patterns and functional brain network topology in Autism Spectrum Disorder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Anatomical and functional brain studies have converged to the hypothesis that Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are associated with atypical connectivity.

A Comprehensive Classification of Deep Learning Libraries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Deep Learning (DL) networks are composed of multiple processing layers that learn data representations with multiple levels of abstraction. In recent years, DL networks have significantly improved the state-of-the-art across different domains, including speech processing, text mining, pattern recognition, object detection, robotics and big data ...

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.
