Effects of restoration practices on biodiversity in temperate and boreal forests

Abstract Several restoration practices are used to mitigate and compensate for the negative effects of large‐scale forestry on biodiversity in temperate and boreal forests. A comprehensive synthesis of the benefits of these practices across taxa is missing. We conducted a systematic review and meta‐analysis on this topic.

Contact Sensitization in Patients With Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia: Patch Test Results With an Extended Baseline Series in Consecutive Patients

Sensitization to propolis, shellac and gallate mix is FFA‐associated, but its relevance is largely unknown. Sensitization to salicylates is frequent and associated with symptoms of intolerance to sun exposure or sunscreens. No significant improvement by allergen avoidance is identified.

Chromium and Cobalt in Used Leather Items: A Danish Market Survey

Used leather items from the Danish second‐hand market frequently release chromium(VI) and, in some cases, cobalt. Some items exceed current EU limits, highlighting a persistent but underrecognised source of exposure in the circular economy that may contribute to ongoing contact allergy despite existing regulations.

In this exploratory analysis, dyshidrotic eczema demonstrated a distinct sensitisation pattern compared with non‐dyshidrotic hand eczema. The lower proportion of clinically relevant reactions amongst positive patch tests suggests a multi‐factorial and not exclusively allergic background.
