An Atypical Skin Presentation of Adult‐Onset Still's Disease With Histological Description: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) is an auto inflammatory disorder with a variable clinical presentation, and without a pathognomonic diagnostic test, characterized by high spiking fever, arthralgia/arthritis, a suggestive skin rash, elevated white blood cell count 10 G/L (> 80% neutrophils), elevated ferritin, with glycosylated ferritin < 20%

Elevated IL‐4 and IL‐13 Expression in Hailey‐Hailey Disease: Evidence for Th2‐Mediated Pathogenesis and Targeted Treatment

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Hailey‐Hailey disease (HHD) is a rare autosomal dominant blistering disorder caused by mutations in the ATP2C1 gene, which impair keratinocyte adhesion through disrupted calcium signaling. While traditionally considered a structural defect, recent studies suggest that Th2‐mediated inflammation may exacerbate disease pathology ...

In vivo differentiation of scarring alopecia using line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography: a pilot study

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background and Objectives: Diagnosing cicatricial alopecia is challenging. Even with histology, a definitive diagnosis cannot always be made. Line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC‐OCT), a non‐invasive imaging method with high resolution used in vivo, has proven helpful in diagnosing scarring alopecia.

Validation of the German version of Infants and Toddlers Dermatology Quality of Life (InToDermQoL) Questionnaire

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background and Objectives Skin diseases can greatly impair quality of life (QoL) of pediatric patients and their families. The Infants and Toddlers Dermatology Quality of Life questionnaire (InToDermQoL) is the first skin‐generic instrument assessing QoL in children ≤ 4 years, as reported by their caregiver. This study aimed to psychometrically
