Simple prolongs of the non-positive parts of graded Lie algebras with Cartan matrix in characteristic 2

open access: yes, 2013
Over an algebraically closed fields, an alternative to the method due to Kostrikin and Shafarevich was recently suggested. It produces all known simple finite dimensional Lie algebras in characteristic p>2.

Overcoming the Nyquist Limit in Molecular Hyperspectral Imaging by Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Explorative spectral acquisition guide automatically selects informative spectral bands to optimize downstream tasks, outperforming full‐spectrum acquisition. The selected hyperspectral data are used for tasks such as unmixing and segmentation. BandOptiNet encodes selection states and outputs optimal bands to guide spectral acquisition. Recent advances

The Herfindahl neutral point: A firm‐level threshold for managing market concentration with evidence from US hog packing

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.

Long‐Range Interactions in Topological Superconducting Systems: A Mini Review

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Long‐range interacting quantum systems are surveyed in this review, with an emphasis on the long‐range topological superconductor and its variants. Long‐range interactions decaying in a power‐law manner can lead to exotic phenomena that finds no analogue in short‐range regimes.

Classification of Filiform Lie Algebras up to dimension 7 Over Finite Fields

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2016
This paper tries to develop a recent research which consists in using Discrete Mathematics as a tool in the study of the problem of the classification of Lie algebras in general, dealing in this case with filiform Lie algebras up to dimension 7 over ...

Risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning for control of stochastic linear systems

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper presents a risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning (RL) control design for stochastic discrete‐time linear systems. Rather than using a safety certifier to myopically intervene with the RL controller, a risk‐informed safe controller is also learned besides the RL controller, and the RL and safe controllers are combined together ...

On the Locality of Formal Distributions Over Right-Symmetric and Novikov Algebras

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика"
The Dong Lemma in the theory of vertex algebras states that the locality property of formal distributions over a Lie algebra is preserved under the action of a vertex operator. A similar statement is known for associative algebras.

Lie antialgebras: premices

open access: yes, 2009
The main purpose of this work is to develop the basic notions of the Lie theory for commutative algebras. We introduce a class of $\mathbbZ_2$-graded commutative but not associative algebras that we call ``Lie antialgebras''.

Algebras of quotients of Lie algebras

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2004
If \(L\) is a subalgebra of a Lie algebra \(Q\); and if given \(p; q \in Q\) with \(p \not= 0\); there exists \(x \in L\) such that \([x; p] \not= 0\) and \([x; {}_L (q)] \subseteq L\) for \({}_L (q)\) the linear span in \(Q\) of \(q\) and the elements \(\text{ad}x_1 \cdots \text{ad}x_n q\) for \(x_1, \dots, x_n \in L\); then \(Q\) is called an algebra

Housing Warmth/Coolness and Quietness Correlate With Whole‐Brain Fractional Anisotropy in Healthy Adults

open access: yesBrain Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Residential environments have been linked to brain structure, particularly in children, older adults, and clinical populations. However, little is known about how different dimensions of the housing environment relate to brain white matter microstructure in healthy adults, or whether specific environmental factors show stronger ...
