A unique mechanism is identified where molecular oxygen, after adsorbing on VSe₂ at room temperature, undergoes a spin state transition from a triplet (S = 1) to a doublet (S = 1/2). Driven by charge transfer from VSe₂, this non‐radical pathway activates oxygen, potentially advancing catalytic and biomedical applications by avoiding the need for UV ...

A Pathway Toward Sub‐10 nm Surface Nanostructures Utilizing Block Copolymer Crystallization Control
Crystallization of a PE‐b‐PEO block co‐oligomer thin film leads to the formation of vertical lamellae consisting of edge‐on oriented, extended chain crystals. The crystallization mechanism produces stable vertical nanostructures in the sub‐10 nm regime and offers a clear advantage over amorphous block copolymers.

Review on Icephobicity of Materials Surface Enhanced by Interface Action Force
As ‘energy‐free’ passive anti‐icing strategies have not yet been effectively implemented, a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms through which mechanical forces influence the evolution of solid‐liquid, solid‐liquid/ice interfaces, and solid‐ice interfaces, as well as the integration of mechanical forces with various types of active/passive ...

Multinary oxynitrides exhibit tunable structural and optoelectronic properties, though synthesis challenges have limited exploration. Using reactive sputter deposition, polycrystalline zirconium tantalum oxynitride films with varying cation ratios were synthesized, revealing a cubic bixbyite‐type structure, n‐type character, tunable bandgap and high ...
