A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

On Symmetry and Conserved Quantities in Classical Mechanics [PDF]
This paper expounds the relations between continuous symmetries and conserved quantities, i.e. Noether's ``first theorem'', in both the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian frameworks for classical mechanics.

Fundamental solutions, transition densities and the integration of Lie symmetries [PDF]
In this paper we present some new applications of Lie symmetry analysis to problems in stochastic calculus. The major focus is on using Lie symmetries of parabolic PDEs to obtain fundamental solutions and transition densities.

Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

On Lie Point Symmetries in Differential Games [PDF]
A technique to determine closed-loop Nash equilibria of n-player differential games is developed when their dynamic state-control system is composed of decoupled ODEs. In particular, the theory of Lie point symmetries is exploited to achieve first integrals of such systems.

For a generalized KdV-Burgers-Kuramoto equation we have studied conservation laws by using the multiplier method, and investigated its first-level and second-level potential systems. Furthermore, the Lie point symmetries of the equation and the Lie point

Iterations of the nonclassical symmetries and conditional Lie-Bäcklund symmetries
Iterations of the non-classical symmetries method give rise to new nonlinear equations, which inherit the Lie point symmetry algebra of the original equation. Invariant solutions of these heir equations supply new solutions of the original equation.

A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Lie symmetries and superintegrability in quantum mechanics
Starting from the structure of the higher order Lie symmetries of the Schrodinger equation in the Euclidean plane E2, we establish, in the case of first-and second-order symmetries, the relations between separation of variables and superintegrable systems in quantum mechanics.

Lie Symmetry Methods for Multidimensional Linear, Parabolic PDES and Diffusions [PDF]
In this paper we introduce methods based upon Lie symmetry analysis for the construction of explicit fundamental solutions of multidimensional parabolic PDEs.
