Cellular Identity Crisis: RD3 Loss Fuels Plasticity and Immune Silence in Progressive Neuroblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers discovered that therapy‐induced loss of RD3 protein in neuroblastoma triggers a dangerous shift: cancer cells become more stem‐like, invasive, and resistant to treatment while evading immune detection. RD3 loss suppresses antigen presentation and boosts immune checkpoints, creating an immune‐silent environment.

Prediction of lipase-specific foldase-dependence in bacterial lipase subfamilies I.1 and I.2

open access: yesBMC Genomics
Background Most bacterial lipases in subfamily I.1/I.2 depend on a specific chaperone protein, lipase-specific foldase (Lif), for folding into their active form. In contrast, several Lif-independent lipases have been reported in subfamily I.1.

Identifying Cytokine Motif‐Containing, Immunomodulatory Bacterial Proteins in Human Gut Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By building and constructing HMM (Upper left, blue), the authors identify CMCPs in bacteria genomes and CRC related metagenomes and enriched CRC‐related CMCPs (Upper right, blue). They analyze sequence and structural similarity of hits (Lower left, green), test function with engineered EcN delivered to tumors in a mouse tumor model (Lower right, pink ...

An On‐Demand Neuromorphic Vision System Enabled by a Multi‐Paradigm Neuromorphic Device and Hierarchical Reconfigurability Designed from Device to System Level

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An on‐demand ultra‐reconfigurable intelligent vision system with hierarchical reconfigurability from device to system levels is demonstrated. Through co‐design of a multi‐paradigm device, reconfigurable circuits, and adaptive system architecture/algorithms, the system enables seamless switching among spiking, non‐spiking, neuromorphic imaging (NI), and

Super‐Enhancer Driven LIF/LIFR‐STAT3‐SOX2 Regulatory Feedback Loop Promotes Cancer Stemness in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Super‐enhancers (SEs) have been recognized as key epigenetic regulators underlying cancer stemness and malignant traits by aberrant transcriptional control and promising therapeutic targets against human cancers. However, the SE landscape and their roles
