The System LiF-LiCl, LiF-NaCl, LiF-KCl
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1959Liquid ‐solid equilibrium data for the systems , , were obtained through the concentration range . These data were used to test the formula for the prediction of liquidus temperatures. Activities were calculated from experimental data by It was shown that the activities of salt components can be calculated by this formula, if the difference in the sum ...

Thermostimulated exoemission from LiF
Physica Status Solidi (a), 1977The surface of LiF cleaned by prolonged bombardment with Ar+ ions or electrons in high or ultrahigh vacuum does not exhibit thermostimulated exoemission. The adsorption of water vapours restores the emissivity. The point defects (colour centres or magnesium impurities) do not form exoemission centres in the absence of adsorbed water.

In connection with the use of LiF as a thermoluminescent dosimeter the authors question the apparently misconception that LiF is, without qualification 'inert, insoluble and non-toxic'. A pilot study was conducted in which the drinking water of young rats was saturated with LiF TLD powder (solubility LiF 0.27 g per 100 cc cold water. This proved proved

A High Sensitivity LiF Thermoluminescent Dosimeter-LiF(Mg, Cu, P)
Health Physics, 1984This paper describes the dosimetric properties of a new, high-sensitivity thermoluminescence dosimeter material prepared in our laboratory. The sensitivity of the LiF(Mg, Cu, P) phosphor is about 23 times higher than that of LiF (TLD-100). Its TL response is linear from 0.3 mR to 1000 R. Its energy dependence is similar to that of LiF (TLD-100).

Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) and LIF Receptor in Human Lung
American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, 1999The distribution and regulation of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) and its receptor (LIFR) in human lung tissue is unknown. We recently found that LIF was immunolocalized to several cell types in human airways, and that exogenous LIF modulated neural and contractile responses of explanted airways.

Interfacial reactions at Al/LiF and LiF/Al
Applied Physics Letters, 2009High-resolution synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy was used to investigate the chemical properties of Al–LiF interfaces. An electronic state appeared at the Al/LiF interface with a binding energy 4.8 eV higher than that of the metallic Al 2p core level, but the state was hardly found to be present at the LiF/Al interface.
