The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Research of neutron interaction with matter under high neutron flux. Part III. Research of neutrons transmission time dependence

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2017
Measurements of the transmission of neutrons through two samples of 235U and Cd, which are simultaneously on neutron beam, with different sequence of their location for different exposure times of the samples on the beam, are performed.

Dynamic Photoluminescence Lifetime Imaging for Injection-dependent Lifetime Measurements

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2014
We investigate the impact of an injection-dependent carrier lifetime in crystalline silicon on dynamic photoluminescence lifetime imaging (dynamic PLI). Although the dynamic lifetime approach is a technique that evaluates the time-dependence of a quantity proportional to the excess carrier density, it is only weakly influenced by the injection-level ...

Lifetime of the first and second collective excitations in metallic nanoparticles

open access: yes, 2005
We determine the lifetime of the surface plasmon in metallic nanoparticles under various conditions, concentrating on the Landau damping, which is the dominant mechanism for intermediate-size particles.

A Comprehensive Overview of the Clinical, Electrophysiological, and Neuroimaging Features of BPAN: Insights From a New Case Series

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation (NBIA) comprises a genetically and clinically heterogeneous group of rare neurological disorders characterized particularly by iron accumulation in the basal ganglia. To date, 15 genes have been associated with NBIA.

Portable Low‐Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging in People With Human Immunodeficiency Virus

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The aging population of people with HIV (PWH) raises heightened concerns regarding accelerated aging and dementia. Portable, low‐field MRI (LF‐MRI) is an innovative technology that could enhance access and facilitate routine monitoring of PWH.
