Multilife premium calculation with dependent future lifetimes
1999Summary: Actuaries traditionally have calculated multilife (joint life) premiums by assuming the independence of the future lifetimes of insured persons. Recent studies, however, demonstrate dependence of the future lifetimes of couples (such as husbands and wives).

Time-dependent semiclassical calculation of resonance lifetimes
Chemical Physics Letters, 1996Spectral features of quantum systems can be extracted from dynamical quantities like wavefunctions or correlation functions. Using a time-dependent framework, we study symmetric transition state resonances of the collinear H + H2 system. We compare time-dependent semiclassical results and the corresponding spectra to full quantum calculations.

Calculation of the carrier lifetime in Hg1−xZnxTe
Infrared Physics, 1988Abstract The carrier lifetimes in Hg 1− x Zn x Te for radiative and band-to-band Auger recombination are calculated for the temperature range 77–300 K and the composition range 0.10 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.24. The Auger rates are calculated according to Petersen-Casselman theory and Gelmont theory. Comparative study of these theories is made.

Calculation of the lifetime of electrical busbar joints
European Transactions on Electrical Power, 1997AbstractElectrical joints can be a weak points and with it endanger the reliability of electrical power‐transmission systems. On the example of Aluminium‐to‐Aluminium and Aluminium‐to‐Copper busbar joints is shown how one can get information about the principle ageing behaviour from long‐term test.

Calculations of 2plifetimes in the Li sequence
Physical Review A, 1991Lifetime predictions for the 2{ital p} {sup 2}{ital P}{sub 1/2} and 2{ital p} {sup 2}{ital P}{sub 3/2} levels in the lithium isoelectronic sequence have been computed for atomic numbers {ital Z}=3--92 using the semiempirical Coulomb approximation with a Hartree-Slater core.

Calculation of the Lifetime of a Metastable System
Physical Review, 1968We have compared, in the context of a soluble model, two approximate methods of calculating the lifetime of a metastable state with the "exact" method. The exact method involves the usual relation $T=2\ensuremath{\hbar}{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ between the lifetime $T$ of a metastable state and the displacement $\frac{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}

Customer Lifetime and After Lifetime Value - Calculations from an Iranian perspective
2011Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) is an established relationship marketing-centric approach to evaluating the significance of a customer, and what resources should be allocated towards maintaining relations – beyond short-term transactional views. The conceptual argument presented in this paper contributes one very simple, yet significant argument, which ...
