Stirling engine: Available tools for long-life assessment [PDF]

open access: yes
A review is presented for the durability approaches applicable to long-time life assessment of Stirling engine hot-section components. The crucial elements are experimental techniques for generating long-time materials property data (both monotonic and ...

Reducing Open‐Circuit Voltage Losses in Wide‐Bandgap FAPbBr3 Perovskite Solar Cells for Continuous Unassisted Light‐Driven Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The combination of formamidinium thiocyanate and 1,3‐propane diammonium iodide for bulk and top‐surface passivation, and a ternary fullerene blend to improve energy band alignment, suppresses energy losses in wide‐bandgap FAPbBr3 perovskite solar cells.

Modeling customer loyalty using customer lifetime value. [PDF]

open access: yes
The definition and modeling of customer loyalty have been central issues in customer relationship management since many years. Recent papers propose solutions to detect customers that are becoming less loyal, also called churners.

Photoconductivity‐Driven Quantum Efficiency Gain in Inorganic Ruddlesden‐Popper Layered Cs2PbBr2I2 Perovskite Photodetector for Visible Light Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rational halogen mixing strategy was employed to shift the bandgap of Cs2PbBr2I2 from ultraviolet to visible region, enabling first realization of a visible‐light photodetector with this 2D layered Ruddlesden‐Popper perovskite material. Under illumination, light‐induced internal field forms and drives trap‐mediated persistent photoconductivity ...

Intrabandgap States Engineering in Functionalized Nanodiamond to Generate Solvated Electrons for Photocatalysis Under Solar Illumination

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The negative electron affinity of diamond allows to emit highly reductive electrons. By introducing intra‐bandgap states and an optimized electron transfer mechanism by surface functionalization with Ru(bpy)3, the formation of solvated electrons is achieved upon solar irradiation.

Lifetime Prediction of Power IGBT Module

open access: yes机车电传动, 2013
The Weibull methodology for power cycling test data and some reported typical lifetime models were firstly discussed. Then, lifetime prediction procedures were presented including the conversion of mission profile to temperature profile, the temperature ...

SO(10) GUT Models and Cosmology [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
$SO(10)$ grand unified models have an intermediate symmetry group in between $SO(10)$ and $SU(3)_{C} \otimes SU(2)_{L} \otimes U(1)_{Y}$. Hence they lead to a prediction for proton lifetime in agreement with the experimental lower limit.

Late-decaying Q-ball with BBN lifetime

open access: yes, 2004
In the Affleck-Dine mechanism of baryogenesis, non-topological solitons called Q-balls can be formed. In this work we study the Q-balls which decay during the Big Bang Nucleosythesis (BBN) era.
