Analyzing the maximum angle of light‐emitting diodes for indoor visible light communication
An optimal arrangement of the Light‐Emitting Diodes for an indoor Visible Light Communication setup is presented by using the simulation model. The validation simulation results for a Line‐of‐Sight configuration that show the movement of the angle change can be carried out easily.

Asymmetric transmission in nanophotonics
Abstract In a reciprocal medium, transmission of electromagnetic (EM) waves is symmetric along opposite directions which restrict design and implementation of various systems in optics and photonics. Asymmetric transmission (AT) is essential for designing isolators and circulators in optics and photonics, and it benefits other applications such as ...

Improved LED arrangement through outage probability minimization in LiFi communication systems
We propose an improved method to arrange the light emitting diodes (LED) on the ceiling for an indoor visible light communication (VLC) system. A LiFi‐based connection is considered where several LEDs are placed on the ceiling of an office and communicate with several receiver (user) located randomly within the room area. We propose to find the optimal

Trifluoromethylbenzene (PhCF3), as surfactant, is introduced into propylene carbonate (PC)‐based electrolyte to regulate interfacial behaviors in lithium‐ion batteries. The adsorbed PhCF3 on graphite surface facilitates bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide anions’ (FSI−) accumulation and decomposition at graphite/electrolyte interface through the adsorption ...

Studies of optical wireless communications: random orientation model, modulation, and hybrid WiFi and LiFi networks [PDF]
Cisco has predicted that by 2022, as a result of the emerging internet-of-things traffic, there will be an internet protocol (IP) traffic explosion. An increasing amount of radio frequency (RF) spectra has been allocated to accommodate this mobile data

Transformer vibration and noise monitoring system using internet of things
Abstract During continuous operation, transformer problems can occur due to various reasons. In reality, the operating parameters of the transformer have been collected and monitored through the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. However, these systems face many challenges when applied to no‐human substations.
