A Cascode Pair Based on SiGe HPT for RoF/LiFi Applications
In this letter, a Si/SiGe phototransistor fully integrated in an industrial 55‐nm node BiCMOS technology is incorporated in a cascode pair for high‐speed photodetection. After having presented the phototranistor structure, the opto‐microwave performances are discussed and compared with a single stage phototransistor.

The paper proposes and demonstrates a high‐precision indoor 2D and 3D visible light positioning system using an imaging MIMO configuration with supervised ANN, achieving positioning accuracies of 3.7 mm (2D) and 51 mm (3D) experimentally. This study introduces a dual multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) method to enhance bit error rate (BER) and Q‐factor in 5G free‐space optical (FSO) communication. By integrating spatial diversity, machine learning‐based modulation, and adaptive optical filters, the system achieves data rates up to 120 Gbps while improving signal quality by up to 80%.
