Image enhancement in lifting wavelet transform domain
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019In this paper, the scheme of image enhancement in lifting wavelet transform (LWT) domain using the singular value decomposition (SVD) and artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm uses 1-level LWT to break up the original image into different subbands and the LL subband is utilized for adaptive thresholding whereas ABC ...

Lifting Defect Improvement of Plasma Enhanced Nitride
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2014ABSTRACT Plasma enhanced nitride (PESiN) has been applied for various layers in semiconductor device such as spacer, etch stopping layer, strain layer, hard mask. In order to match with each function of PESiN, process condition should be well optimized in terms of etch rate, stress, uniformity.

Roughness related lift enhancement to symmetric airfoils
15th Applied Aerodynamics Conference, 1997Russian researchers have reported an effect in which an incremental lift force is created on a symmetric wing in a flow as a result of the difference in the roughness of its upper and lower surfaces. The effect includes the generation of lift for the symmetric wing at zero degrees angle-ofattack and an increase in the lift-to-drag ratio at low to ...

Lift Enhancement over a Flexible Delta Wing
2nd AIAA Flow Control Conference, 2004*† Passive lift enhancement over a flexible, low-sweep delta wing has been demonstrated as a potential method for control of vortex-dominated wing flows. The lift enhancement was achieved in the post-stall region of a wing of 50° leading edge sweep. An increase in timeaveraged lift coefficient of up to 45%, and a delay in stall of up to 9 degrees were ...

The mechanisms of lift enhancement in insect flight
Naturwissenschaften, 2004Recent studies have revealed a diverse array of fluid dynamic phenomena that enhance lift production during flapping insect flight. Physical and analytical models of oscillating wings have demonstrated that a prominent vortex attached to the wing's leading edge augments lift production throughout the translational parts of the stroke cycle, whereas ...

Lift Enhancement by Static Extended Trailing Edge
Journal of Aircraft, 2007A static extended trailing edge attached to a NACA0012 airfoil section is studied for achieving lift enhancement at a small drag penalty. It is indicated that the thin extended trailing edge can enhance the lift, whereas the zero-lift drag is not significantly increased.

Enhanced Plunger Lift Performance Utilizing Reservoir Modeling
SPE Production and Operations Symposium, 2013Abstract Liquid loading is an important determinant for the performance of tight, unconventional gas wells. Although plunger lift is one of the best solutions when applicable, marginal economics of unconventional gas production does not tolerate un-optimized plunger lift performance.

Airfoil Lift Enhancement Using Magneto-Aerodynamic Interaction
3rd AIAA Flow Control Conference, 2006The effect of magneto-aerodynamic interaction on the flow past an airfoil has been investigated. The introduction of magnetic Lorentz forces on the lower side of the airfoil was found to produce lift by altering the surface pressure distribution. The effect of various parameters on the lift generated has been studied.
