Bioxolography Using Diphenyliodonium Chloride and N‐Vinylpyrrolidone Enables Rapid High‐Resolution Volumetric 3D Printing of Spatially Encoded Living Matter

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bioxolography, a novel volumetric 3D‐bioprinting technique, enables rapid and high‐resolution fabrication of >1 cm3 engineered living materials. A newly developed three‐component photoinitiator system significantly enhances the photoreactivity of gelatin methacryloyl‐based bioresins, allowing for precise xolographic bioprinting.

Cell-permeable tumor suppressor peptides for cancer therapy: back to the future [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
Miniaturization is a hallmark of modern technologies. Notably, this feature has not spared molecular biology and its potential applications. Towards developing more effective therapeutics against cancer, studies began to explore more than a decade ago how natural tumor suppression could be translated into antineoplastic drugs.

The 2'-5' RNA Ligase of Escherichia coli: Purification, Cloning, and Genomic Disruption [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
An RNA ligase previously detected in extracts of Escherichia coli is capable of joining Saccharomyces cerevisiae tRNA splicing intermediates in the absence of ATP to form a 2-5 phosphodiester linkage (Greer, C., Javor, B., and Abelson, J. (1983) Cell 33,

TLR9 ligation in pancreatic stellate cells promotes tumorigenesis

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 2015
Zambirinis et al. show that TLR9 stimulation has a protumorigenic effect in pancreatic carcinoma by inducing pancreatic stellate cells to become fibrogenic and produce chemokines that stimulate epithelial cell proliferation.

Toward Personalized Stationary Chromatography Phases: Equipping Commercial Silica Phases with Selected Peptide‐Based Binding Domains to Tailor Affinity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The 7‐mer peptide motifs QFFLFFQ, QFFEFFQ, and QFQQSFF, known as good, medium, and poor binders for the photosensitizers m‐THPC and Chlorin E6 are covalently immobilized on commercial amino‐functionalized silica particles by inverse electron‐demand Diels‐Alder ligation.

Superimposed Hi-C: A Solution Proposed for Identifying Single Cell's Chromosomal Interactions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Hi-C sequencing is widely used for analyzing chromosomal interactions. In this study, we propose "superimposed Hi-C" which features paired EcoP15I sites in a linker to facilitate sticky-end ligation with target DNAs. Superimposed Hi-C overcomes Hi-C's technical limitations, enabling the identification of single cell's chromosomal interactions.

Carbon nanotube with pressure inducing pseudogaps: Kondo effect study [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
In this work we are interested to studying the Kondo effect present in a system with a $T$-shape ligation between a single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) and a magnetic impurity. The system has been studied under hydrostatic pressure and it was observed the opening of the gap in the density of states of the zigzag metallic tube.
