Epistaxis and arterial ligation
The Journal of Laryngology & Otology, 1984The management of severe epistaxis is discussed. Three groups of patients with severe epistaxis are studied retrospectively. The group which had early arterial ligation performed had a significantly reduced length of stay in hospital without increased risk. We conclude that early arterial ligation is the treatment of choice in severe epistaxis.

Many methods exist to study oncogenic signaling in lymphoma cells, each with certain strengths and weaknesses. The proximity ligation assay (PLA) is a technique used to examine protein-protein interactions in situ. PLA offers many advantages over traditional biochemical approaches to signaling in that it can detect both transient interactions, which ...

A perusal of the history of advancement and resection shows not only a succession of new operations but constant variations in and modifications of original operations. And with few exceptions the new operations on muscles and the modifications of existing operations have been based on changes in the arrangement and placement of sutures.
