It has been suggested by W.I.C. Morris (Lancet 1: 706 April 3 1971) that surgeons show failure risks on consent forms. However this would remove the patients peace of mind which is the reason for seeking sterilization. There is legal opinion that the patient need not be told of risk.

Laparoscopic Varicocele Ligation
British Journal of Urology, 1993Summary— A laparoscopic varicocele ligation was performed in 49 men with a clinically proven varicocele. Patients were treated predominantly on a day case or overnight basis with minimal postoperative morbidity. Identification of the testicular artery was aided by a laparoscopic Doppler probe in the majority of patients and preserved in 39 cases.

In this article, Ser/Thr ligation(on/off) has been realized to enable N-to-C successive peptide ligations using a salicylaldehyde semicarbazone (SAL(off)) group by in situ activation with pyruvic acid of the peptide SAL(off) ester into the peptide ...

The ligator described here is especially designed for tying bleeding points which are difficult to tie with the surgeon's fingers. This instrument is composed of a main shaft into which a lower segment is welded. The segment is brought to a sloping point, in the end of which is a small opening slightly larger than a no.

Many methods exist to study oncogenic signaling in lymphoma cells, each with certain strengths and weaknesses. The proximity ligation assay (PLA) is a technique used to examine protein-protein interactions in situ. PLA offers many advantages over traditional biochemical approaches to signaling in that it can detect both transient interactions, which ...
