Phenacyl bromide as Norrish type I photoinitiator for the facile synthesis of chain-end functional PMMA and polystyrene

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials
Phenacyl bromide has been explored as a new Norrish Type I photoinitiator for radically polymerizing methyl methacrylate and styrene monomers. A straightforward radical photopolymerization method using UVA light for the synthesis of chain-end functional ...

Solution of the problem of definite outcomes of quantum measurements

open access: yes, 2017
Theory and experiment both demonstrate that an entangled quantum state of two subsystems is neither a superposition of states of its subsystems nor a superposition of composite states but rather a coherent superposition of nonlocal correlations between ...

Diversification Configuretion of Ethylene Cracking Feedstock for Integration of Refining-Chemical Industry [PDF]

open access: yes, 1900

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Spatial variability of crop and soil properties in a crop-livestock integrated system. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The knowledge of spatial variability soil properties is useful in the rational use of inputs, as in the site specific application of lime and fertilizer.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...
