Decoupling Backward Scattering Control and Forward Beamformed Communication in a Shared‐Aperture Retro‐Reflective/Transmissive Metasurface

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 15, 13 August 2026.
Conceptual illustration of the retro‐reflective and transmissive metasurface (RRTM). The blue radar establishes communication with the UAV via the transmissive mode, whereas the purple surveillance radar acquires the status of friendly units through the retro‐reflective mode and the two modes operate simultaneously within the same decoupled aperture ...

Manufacturability‐Aware Multi‐Objective Screening of Filament‐Wound Type IV Pressure‐Vessel Cylindrical Sections Using Dual‐Pressure Hashin Constraints

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 15, Page 13854-13875, 10 August 2026.
Manufacturability‐aware multi‐objective screening of Type IV filament‐wound composite pressure‐vessel cylindrical sections toward lightweight and high‐strength designs. ABSTRACT A manufacturability‐aware preliminary screening framework is proposed for the straight cylindrical section of filament‐wound Type IV composite pressure vessels.

Disentangling intertwined embedded states and spin effects in light-front quantization

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2000
Naive light-front quantization, carried out by a light-front energy integration of covariant amplitudes, is not guaranteed to generate the corresponding Feynman amplitudes. In an explicit example we show that the nonvalence contribution to the minus-component of the EM current of a meson with fermion constituents has a persistent end-point singularity.

Designing Polymer Nanocomposites for X‐Ray Shielding: Mechanisms, Architectures, and Scalable Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 15, 5 August 2026.
This review highlights advances in lightweight, lead‐free polymer nanocomposites for diagnostic X‐ray shielding. By linking filler chemistry, dispersion, architecture, and photon interaction mechanisms, it establishes structure–performance relationships guiding material design.

Control System for the Navigation of the Agricultural Robots: A Review

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 5, Page 3474-3505, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Control systems for the navigation of autonomous agricultural robots—particularly those operating in uneven terrain and in the presence of static or dynamic obstacles—have advanced considerably in recent years. As conventional machinery evolves toward increasingly automated systems, the design of reliable navigation controllers has become ...

Wavelet Transform‐Based Atomic Force Microscopy: A Computational Paradigm for Dynamic Nanoscale Imaging and Characterisation

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Wavelet transform‐based AFM enables real‐time nanoscale imaging by applying wavelet analysis to raw cantilever deflection signals. It reveals non‐linear, transient and multi‐frequency dynamics beyond conventional steady‐state methods. Integrated with adaptive filtering and digital twin modelling, it produces high‐resolution, information‐rich maps of ...

Light-front-quantized QCD in Covariant Gauge [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The light-front (LF) canonical quantization of quantum chromodynamics in covariant gauge is discussed. The Dirac procedure is used to eliminate the constraints in the gauge-fixed front form theory quantum action and to construct the LF Hamiltonian formulation. The physical degrees of freedom emerge naturally. The propagator of the dynamical {psi}{sub +}

CyberGeoAI For Intelligent Spatial Decision Support

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 30, Issue 5, August 2026.
ABSTRACT The evolution of spatial decision support systems (SDSS) is being rapidly shaped by the integration of Cyberinfrastructure (CI) and Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI), collectively referred to as CyberGeoAI. The rise of big data, complex decision environments, and computing power gives opportunities for advanced tool development to ...

Cross‐Scale Synergistic Optimization for Miniature Meta‐Liquid Hybrid Zoom Imaging

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
A physically constrained optimization framework links electrowetting liquid lenses and metasurface dispersion engineering to realize a compact visible‐band achromatic zoom imager. By co‐optimizing zoom actuation, meta‐atom manufacturability, and system aberrations, the design achieves 1.5x zoom in a 15.5 mm track and clarifies robustness against ...
