Generation of x-ray radiation in a storage ring by a superconductive cold-bore in-vacuum undulator

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2006
The first beam measurements with a cold-bore superconducting in-vacuum undulator in a storage ring are reported. Undulators are x-ray generators in light sources.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

In-vacuum thin eddy-current septum magnet for innovative off-axis beam injection in next-generation light source

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams
Beam injection is one of the most crucial issues for next-generation light sources such as diffraction-limited storage rings. We propose a novel transparent off-axis beam injection scheme for low-emittance storage rings of future light sources.
