Single gradientless light beam drags particles as tractor beams. [PDF]
Usually a light beam pushes a particle when the photons act upon it. We investigate the optical forces by nonparaxial gradientless beams and find that the forces can drag suitable particles all the way towards the light source.

The Cold Atmospheric Plasma Inhibits Cancer Proliferation Through Reducing Glutathione Synthesis
(1) Objective: Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a safe and effective alternative to radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Its anticancer effects are attributed to increased intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Nonlinear generation of hollow beams in tunable plasmonic nanosuspensions
We experimentally demonstrate that a probe beam at one wavelength, although exhibiting a weak nonlinear response on its own, can be modulated and controlled by a pump beam at another wavelength in plasmonic nanosuspensions, leading to ring-shaped pattern

We proposed a scheme to manipulate the Goos-Hänchen shift of a light beam reflected from the depletion-type device via external voltage bias. It is shown that the lateral shift of the reflected probe beam can be easily controlled by adjusting the reverse

Abnormally autofocusing vortex Swallowtail Gaussian vector beam with low spatial coherence
The precondition for the application of light beams is the ability to devise light distribution with high precision. Controlling more dimensions for structured light fields is an effective method to improve the ability to devise light distribution.

Imaging with quantum states of light [PDF]
The production of pairs of entangled photons simply by focusing a laser beam onto a crystal with a nonlinear optical response was used to test quantum mechanics and to open new approaches in imaging.
