Light distributions in rooms

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1946
Abstract A few unofficial terms used in the paper are as follows: pharos F = luminous flux (lumen), pharosage D = luminous flux density (lumen m−2), helios H = generalized brightness: H=π lim ω→0 D ω If D is in lumens per square meter and ω is in steradians, then H is expressed in blondels.

On the flavor structure of the light-quark sea distributions

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2019
International audienceThe flavor structure of the nucleon sea provides unique information to test the statistical parton distributions approach, which imposes strong relations between quark and antiquarks.

Sampling in the light of Wigner distribution

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2004
We propose a new method for analysis of the sampling and reconstruction conditions of real and complex signals by use of the Wigner domain. It is shown that the Wigner domain may provide a better understanding of the sampling process than the traditional Fourier domain.

Analysis of light regime in continuous light distributions in photobioreactors

Bioresource Technology, 2011
Maximum photobioreactor (PBR) efficiency is a must in applications such as the obtention of microalgae-derived fuels. Improving PBR performance requires a better understanding of the "light regime", the varying irradiance that microalgal cells moving in a dense culture are exposed to.
