Lighting spectrum to maximize colorfulness
Optics Letters, 2012The spectrum of modern illumination can be computationally tailored considering the visual effects of lighting. We investigated the spectral profiles of the white illumination maximizing the theoretical limits of the perceivable object colors. A large number of metamers with various degrees of smoothness were generated on and around the Planckian locus,

Invariance of the Spectrum of Light on Propagation
Physical Review Letters, 1986The question is raised as to whether the normalized spectrum of light remains unchanged on propagation through free space. It is shown that for sources of a certain class that includes the usual thermal sources, the normalized spectrum will, in general, depend on the location of the observation point unless the degree of spectral coherence of the light

The clinical spectrum of light chain myeloma
The American Journal of Medicine, 1972Excerpt Light chain disease is a common form of myeloma that is frequently difficult to recognize because of its variable clinical features and the absence of a monoclonal spike on routine serum pr...

Light Field Estimation in the Ultraviolet Spectrum
2017Ultraviolet cameras are becoming well used, with their applications in botany, dermatology, and recently in photography. In this paper, we develop a novel method of light field estimation from an ultraviolet image. Our UV light field imaging model is obtained by exploiting the radiometry, the optic, and the acquisition geometry.

FUNDUS EXAMINATION WITH RESTRICTED SPECTRUM LIGHT
American journal of optometry and archives of American Academy of Optometry, 1971ABSTRACT The visibility of fundal structures is dependent upon the variation of spectral reflectance and absorptance of these structures. A review of the more important studies of the human fundus oculi in light of different spectral composition is presented.
