Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Laser cooling and loading of Rb into a large period, quasi-electrostatic, optical lattice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This thesis reports on the design and construction of, and results from, an optical-dipole trapping apparatus developed to confine ultracold rubidium atoms in a conservative, large period, optical-dipole trap. An ultra-high vacuum system was designed and

Development of Textured Al-doped Zinc oxide on the Glass Substrate with Pit Arrays for Thin Film Silicon Solar Cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2018
Light trapping structure can increase the absorption of incident light. In this paper, we make used of porous anodic aluminum oxide as mask to fabricate the light trapping structure on the glass substrate before AZO film deposition.

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

Mie resonators as rearside light trapping structures in planar crystalline silicon solar cells

open access: yes, 2022
Paper OT3C.5Mie resonances of high-refractive index nanostructures provide strong and spectrally broadband scattering. In this numerical work, we investigate the feasibility of amourphous silicon nanodisks at the planar rear side of crystalline silicon ...

Topological Rainbow Trapping with Expanded Bandwidth in Valley Photonic Crystals

open access: yesPhotonics
We introduce a novel approach to achieve broadband rainbow trapping in a 2D photonic crystal (PC) platform. By exploiting the concept of valley PCs, we engineer a structure that supports robust topological edge states.

X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...
