A new species of the genus Parasa Moore (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae) from Yemen [PDF]
Abstract A new species Parasa dusii Solovyev and Saldaitis from northern Yemen is described (holotype in Museum Witt, Munich; Germany). The species has tendency to lose the green pigment typical for other congeners. It is provisionally placed into the genus Parasa Moore, 1859 where it is closely related to P. divisa West, 1940, P. catori

Cordyceps pruinosa produces cordycepin and N6-(2-hydroxyethyl)-adenosine in culture [PDF]
Cordyceps species are entomophagous pathogens with medicinal properties, mostly linked to cordycepin and N6- (2-hydroxyethyl)-adenosine (HEA). An isolate of Cordyceps pruinosa (GZUCC 8552) was obtained from a fruiting body formed on the cocoon a

DNA metabarcoding of light trap samples vs. morphological species identification
Five light trap samples of different complexities were subjected to COI metabarcode sequencing. Species detection rates of metabarcoding versus manual identification were compared between the samples and two different amplicons. Metabarcoding was able to detect between 46% and 69% of manually identified species.
