Synthetic polymer nanocarrier enhances dsRNA stability but not RNAi efficacy in Brassicogethes aeneus

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Experimental setup for dsRNA feeding in Brassicogethes aeneus to evaluate the effect of a synthetic polymer nanocarrier on RNAi efficiency. The experiment assessed whether the nanocarrier enhances RNAi after oral dsRNA delivery. (a) Stability of dsRNA–nanocarrier complexes was tested in simulated gut conditions. (b) Gene expression of αCOP and dre4 was

Steaming soil is effective in eliminating invasive alien plants (IAPs) – part I: effect of exposure method

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 2032-2039, April 2025.
As regulations on chemical pesticides become more stringent, it is likely that there will be interest in water steam as an alternative approach for soil disinfestation. This study investigated the feasibility of utilizing a soil steaming device for thermal control of selected invasive alien plants and showed a promising mortality rate for their ...

Performing Relevant Irradiation Experiments: The Role of Proton Flux in the Dynamic Annealing during Irradiation of Cu(In,Ga)Se2‐Based Solar Cells

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, EarlyView.
Energetic particles make space a harsh environment that solar cells must endure. This study demonstrates that proton flux critically affects radiation damage in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cells. By irradiating identical cells at different fluxes, a flux‐dependent balance between defect generation and dynamic annealing was revealed.

An Interpretable TCN– Transformer Framework for Lithium‐Ion Battery State of Health Estimation Using SHAP Analysis

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurate state of health (SOH) estimation of Li‐ion batteries is essential for ensuring safety, reliability, and prolonging battery lifespan in energy storage systems and electric vehicles. This study proposes a hybrid temporal convolutional network (TCN)–transformer framework that effectively captures both short‐term temporal dynamics and ...
