Combination Cockle Shells (Anadara granosa) and Calcite Lime to Improve Swamp Water pH for Catfish (Pangasius sp.) Culture

open access: yesOmni-Akuatika, 2020
Cockle shells was proven potential used as an alternative liming material. Combination of lime derived from cockle shells with calcite as common lime materials used to overcome limited quantity of cockle shells as the problem of seasonal availability of ...

Unitary Theory of Evaporating 2D Black Holes

open access: yes, 1995
We study a manifestly unitary formulation of 2d dilaton quantum gravity based on the reduced phase space quantization. The spacetime metric can be expanded in a formal power series of the matter energy-momentum tensor operator. This expansion can be used

Combined postharvest UV-C and 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatment, followed by storage continuously in low level of ethylene atmosphere improves the quality of Tahitian limes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The green Tahitian limes (Citrus latifolia) were exposed to 7.2 kJ m−2 UV-C and 0.5 μL L−1 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatments both separately and in combination. After treatment, fruit were stored in ethylene free (i.e.

Influence of Outcoupling Layers on Top‐Emitting Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
Top‐emitting perovskite LEDs offer benefits over typical bottom‐emitting architectures, toward lasing, improved thermal management, and on‐chip fabrication compatibility. Outcoupling layers offer a strategy uniquely applicable to top‐emitting LEDs to optimize EQE by improving optical outcoupling.

Optoribogenetic control of regulatory RNA molecules

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Short hairpin RNAs can be used to modulate and regulate gene expression. Here the authors generate chimeric RNAs that interact with the photoreceptor PAL, allowing for optoribogenetic control of cell physiology.

Tri-spin dynamics in alkali metal-noble gas NMR gyroscope

open access: yes, 2019
Alkali metal-noble gas NMR gyroscope is widely used for precision rotation measurement in fundamental and applied physics. By numerically simulating the alkali-nuclear-nuclear tri-spin dynamics, we investigate the dependence of gyroscope response on ...

TreeSpider: In‐Canopy Exploration With Tether‐Based Aerial Modular Arms

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A tethered drone with perching arms and a 360° ring enables unprecedented maneuverability within dense forest canopies. By dynamically adjusting tether length and decoupling pitch from the frame, it navigates between branches, senses multiple trees, and interacts physically with foliage.

Long‐Term Elevated CO2 Improves Soil Health and Rice Yields in Paddy Fields

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Combining the two longest‐running rice free‐air CO2 enrichment experiments with a global data synthesis, this study demonstrates that long‐term elevated CO2 consistently enhances soil health. In rice paddies, this improvement sustains the CO2 fertilization effect over decades.
