Verification of The Method for Determining Calcium Content in Animal Feed

open access: yesChempublish Journal
Calcium is one of the essential macromineral elements in animal feed. To ensure that animal feed meets nutritional and safety standards, accurate and validated analytical methods are needed to determine calcium levels, specifically using the ICP-OES ...

Electrically Readable Lateral Flow Assay Using Organic Transistors for Diagnostic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrolyte‐gated organic field‐effect transistors (EGOFETs) are integrated with lateral flow (LF) paper fluidics to create a reusable, portable, and low‐cost point‐of‐care (PoC) diagnostic test. The devices are validated for Human Immunoglobulin G detection, achieving high sensitivity (0.1 fm), selectivity, and reproducibility with rapid results in 20–

eDNA-based monitoring of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis and Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans with ddPCR in Luxembourg ponds: taking signals below the Limit of Detection (LOD) into account

open access: yesBMC Ecology and Evolution
Abstract Background Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) and Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans (Bsal) are two pathogenic fungi that are a significant threat to amphibian communities worldwide. European populations are strongly impacted and the monitoring of the presence and spread of these pathogens is crucial for ...

2D MOF with Intrinsic Porosity for Colorimetric Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An uncommon 2D MOF with intrinsic in‐plane porosity that can be mechanically exfoliated undergoes a distinct and reversible colour change upon exposure to various volatile organic compounds. ABSTRACT In this work, we report an uncommon 2D metal–organic framework (MOF) with intrinsic in‐plane porosity that undergoes a distinct and reversible colour ...

In Vivo Monitoring of Thrombo‐Inflammatory Biomarkers via Molecularly Imprinted Polymer‐Integrated Hydrogel Microneedles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A wearable electrochemical microneedle patch integrates Prussian Blue redox transduction with molecularly imprinted polymer recognition for reagent‐free sampling and detection of thrombo‐inflammatory biomarkers in dermal interstitial fluid. The platform tracks thrombin and inflammatory cytokines with sensitive in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo performance,

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Recent Advances in Ferrite‐Based Materials for Biomedical Applications: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ferrite nanoplatforms are presented as tunable biomedical materials in which synthesis control, cation engineering, defect/morphology regulation, and surface functionalization govern structure–property–bioactivity relationships. These design strategies enable multifunctional applications including MRI contrast, magnetic hyperthermia, targeted drug ...

Establishment of Limit of Detection (LOD) of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4) in Banana Pseudostem and Water samples through Real-time PCR

open access: yes, 2019
Fusarium Wilt, also known as Panama disease, is a major threat to banana industries which is caused by a pathogen, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4). Molecular detection of Foc TR4 has been developed earlier using real-time PCR to reliably detect the pathogen on plants showing early symptoms and on water samples collected from
