Almost Periodic Solutions for Limit Periodic Systems
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1972A system of ordinary differential equations with limit periodic t-dependence has associated with it a sequence of approximating systems with periodic t-dependence. If each of these approximating systems has a periodic solution, sufficient conditions are given on these solutions under which the original system has an almost periodic solution. Additional

Let X be a complete metric space. For \(n=1,2,3,...\), let \(f_ n\) be a function \(X\to X\) having a unique fixed point \(\alpha_ n\). Write \(F_ n=f_ 1\circ f_ 2\circ...\circ f_ n\). Under suitable conditions, there is an \(\alpha\in X\) such that, for each \(x\in X\), we have \(F_ n(x)\to \alpha\) as \(n\to \alpha\).

Abstract This chapter assesses limitations periods under domestic law and the Hague, Hague-Visby, and Rotterdam Rules. A core component in the litigation strategy of any claimant, whether under the general law or the carriage of goods by sea, is the potential for any statutory or convention time bar to eliminate the claim, if not brought

Periodic and limit periodic continued fractions
2008Periodic continued fractions are well understood. We can determine when they converge, when they diverge, their values if they converge and the asymptotic behavior of their tail sequences. Indeed, it is all a matter of iterations of linear fractional transformations, and we have closed expressions for their approximants Sn(w).

Abstract The CISG does not contain a limitations period. However, UNCITRAL has promulgated a companion convention: the Convention on the Limitation Period in the International Sale of Goods. This convention was adopted by a diplomatic conference on June 12, 1974.

Without prejudice to Article 24(2) and (3), actions relating to all forms of financial compensation may not be brought more than five years after the date on which the applicant became aware, or had reasonable grounds to become aware, of the last fact justifying the action.

Limit cycles of periodically forced oscillations
Physics Letters A, 1989Abstract The existence of limit cycles of two-dimensional autonomous integrable systems periodically perturbed by delta-peaks is discussed. For that purpose, Poincare maps are introduced considering analytical solutions between successive pulses.

As explained at the end of the previous chapter, the most difficult problem in the study of bifurcations in a family of vector fields on a surface of genus 0 is the control of the periodic orbits. In fact, in generic smooth families the periodic orbits will be isolated for each value of the parameter. For analytic families we have two possibilities for

Limit-Periodic Dielectric Media
Journal of Applied Physics, 1956A stratified dielectric sheet with dielectric constant ε(x), permeability μ(x) and thickness d is uniformly contracted to yield a sheet with parameters ε(nx), μ(nx), d/n. Now n of these contracted panels are stacked up to yield again a sheet of thickness d. What can be said of the limiting medium obtained in this way, as n→∞ ? If the symbol [] denotes `
