Density-Matrix functional theory of strongly-correlated lattice fermions
A density functional theory (DFT) of lattice fermion models is presented, which uses the single-particle density matrix gamma_{ij} as basic variable. A simple, explicit approximation to the interaction-energy functional W[gamma] of the Hubbard model is ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

Instantons and the large N_c limit, A.D. 2004
We review our current understanding of instanton effects in the large N_c limit of QCD. We argue that the instanton liquid can have a smooth large N_c limit which is in agreement with scaling relations derived from Feynman diagrams.

Self-Enforcing International Agreements and the Limits of Coercion
International law provides an ideal context for studying the effects of freedom from coercion on cooperative behavior. Framers of international agreements, no less than the authors of private contracts, can choose between self enforcement and coercive third-party mechanisms to induce compliance with the commitments they make.
