Seasonal Dynamics of Riverine Inputs in Guadeloupe (French West Indies): Insights From More Than 12 Years of Monitoring

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 3, March 2026.
Riverine solute fluxes peak during the wet season, emphasising the role of tropical rainfall in driving nutrient delivery to the ocean. Seasonal peaks in nutrient fluxes highlight the need for longer‐term monitoring to detect potential interannual trends.

Using Geophysical Observations of a Tracer Injection in a Riparian Aquifer to Explore How Bimodal Transport and Mixing Influences Nitrate Processing

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 3, March 2026.
Our results embrace a simple conceptual model of preferential flow to illuminate the relationships among riparian groundwater nitrate concentration, flow dynamics, and substrate composition in stream corridors loaded with elevated nitrate from agricultural activities.

A Step Toward Rainfall Erosivity Mapping Over Türkiye Using Kriging With External Drift

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study maps rainfall erosivity (R factor) across Türkiye by integrating station‐based observations with satellite‐based precipitation data. The Modified Fournier Index (MFI) derived from CHIRPS was first validated against ground measurements and subsequently incorporated as auxiliary information within a kriging with external drift (KED) framework.

Making the Implicit Explicit: Documenting the Hidden Assumptions in Conceptual Models

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 3, March 2026.
Recognition of the role of the Mental Model Domain and the analysis tool choice as part of a project's workflow. The workflow consists of three domains; the Problem Domain, Mental Model Domain, and Model Domain. The shape of the text box indicates whether the stage includes an interim reporting step (rectangular) or whether the reporting step occurs at
