Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Towards on-line Ohba's conjecture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The on-line choice number of a graph is a variation of the choice number defined through a two person game. It is at least as large as the choice number for all graphs and is strictly larger for some graphs. In particular, there are graphs $G$ with $|V(G)

Lower bounds for on-line graph colorings

open access: yes, 2014
We propose two strategies for Presenter in on-line graph coloring games. The first one constructs bipartite graphs and forces any on-line coloring algorithm to use $2\log_2 n - 10$ colors, where $n$ is the number of vertices in the constructed graph ...

On hamiltonian line-graphs [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1968
Introduction. The line-graph L(G) of a nonempty graph G is the graph whose point set can be put in one-to-one correspondence with the line set of G in such a way that two points of L(G) are adjacent if and only if the corresponding lines of G are adjacent.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Algorithmic Aspects of Some Variations of Clique Transversal and Clique Independent Sets on Graphs

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2021
This paper studies the maximum-clique independence problem and some variations of the clique transversal problem such as the {k}-clique, maximum-clique, minus clique, signed clique, and k-fold clique transversal problems from algorithmic aspects for k ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Graphoidal graphs and graphoidal digraphs: a generalization of line graphs

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2020
A graphoidal cover of a graph G is a collection ψ of paths (not necessarily open) in G such that each path in ψ has at least two vertices, every vertex of G is an internal vertex of at most one path in ψ, and every edge of G is in exactly one path in Let

On the smallest eigenvalues of the line graphs of some trees

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we study the characteristic polynomials of the line graphs of generalized Bethe trees. We give an infinite family of such graphs sharing the same smallest eigenvalue.
